B.C.2.A.B.C.......
I need some help with these two math problems. I finished everything else except I can't figure these two out! Whoever helps the most will receive best answer.

(x^2 is the same thing as x squared.)

1. [x / (x + 3)] + [1 / (x - 1)] = [4 / (x^2 + 2x - 3)]
A. -1
B. 11
C. 1
2. [1/(x - 3)] + [1/(x + 3)] = [10/(x^2 - 9)]
A. 5
B. 3
C. 2/3

1) x^2 +2x -3

x^2 -x +3x - 3

x ( x-1) +3( x-1)

( x+3) ( x-1)

MULTIPLY EQUATION BY ( x+3) ( x-1) BOTH SIDES

x ( x-1) + 1 ( x+3) = 4

x^2 - x + x + 3 = 4

x^2 = 1
x = + / -1

Answer = A & C

2) MULTIPLY BY ( x +3) ( x-3) BOTH SIDES

( x+3) + ( x-3) = 10

2x = 10
x = 5
Answer = A

based on the calculations I just did in my head, both are A...just plug in the numbers if you're unsure. and that's 5 bucks for doing your homework, silly.

regarding the answer above me, you can't divide any number by 0...so C is not an answer.
