4x+6y=-24
-7+6y=9
how do i do this and put the answer in a ordered pair Any help please ?? :) and thank you

The elimination method is a fun one.
You're using the top equation to get rid of a variable in the bottom one.
We have:
4x+6y=-24
-7+6y=9
The easiest variable to eliminate here is y. Multiply the ENTIRE bottom equation by -1, like this:
4x+6y=-24
7-6y=-9
Now, add the equations together.
4x+7=-33
Now it's just simple algebra; subtract 7 from each side and divide by 4.
4x=-40
x=-10
Now that we know what x equals, we can plug that value into the original equation to solve for y.
4(-10)+6y=-24
-40+6y=-24
6y=16
y=16/6, or 8/3
The ordered pair is written (x,y), so this would be (-10, 8/3)
Best of luck.

4x + 6y = -24
-7 + 6y = 9
6y = 16
6y/6 = 16/6
y = 8/3
Now replace all instances of y in the other equation:
4x + 6((8)/(3)) = -24
4x + 16 = -24
4x/4 = -40/4
x = -10
The equation is now solved for x, replace all occurrences of x in the other equations with the solution:.
x = -10
y = 8/3
(-10, 8/3)
-7 + 6y = 9
6y = 16
6y/6 = 16/6
y = 8/3
Now replace all instances of y in the other equation:
4x + 6((8)/(3)) = -24
4x + 16 = -24
4x/4 = -40/4
x = -10
The equation is now solved for x, replace all occurrences of x in the other equations with the solution:.
x = -10
y = 8/3
(-10, 8/3)
