Question:
The jobless rate in a small town in Nevada increased from 8.7% in 2007 to 12.3% in 2009. Predict the jobless rate in 2010.
12.3% - 8.7& = 3.6%
12.3% + 1.8% = 14.1%
My answer: 14.1%
Is that correct? Basically, did I break it down right?

I would assume that the answer is 14.1 because you find the % change for 1 year by dividing the difference from 2007 and 2009. Then you add that % to 12.3 to get to % for next year.
