and how would i graph do i draw a line than place the arrows and which direction is going?|-3x-2|≤10 is the answer x≤8/3??Answer = [ - 4; 8/3]-You have half of the answer.Add 2 to each of the three parts of the inequality.Divide by 3 in each part of the inequality.......
it says Solve and graph the foll wing equations.The grapnel should be one dimensional. If you believe that the equation has no solution,you should skip the grapnel component of the answer .

|3x-2|≤9

is x≤ 11/3 right?? and how would i graph do i draw a line than place the arrows and which direction is going?

|-3x-2|≤10 is the answer x≤8/3??

please help

abs(3*x - 2) ≤ 9

a)

3*x - 2 ≤ 9

3*x ≤ 9 + 2

x ≤ 11/3

b) - (3*x - 2) ≤ 9

- 3*x + 2 ≤ 9

- 3*x ≤ 7

x ≥ - 7/3

Answer = [ - 7/3; 11/3]

|-3x-2| ≤ 10

a)

- 3*x - 2 ≤ 10

- 2 - 10 ≤ 3*x

- 4 ≤ x

x ≥ - 4

b)

- ( - 3*x - 2) ≤ 10

3*x + 2 ≤ 10

3*x ≤ 8

x ≤ 8/3

Answer = [ - 4; 8/3]

You have half of the answer.
I3x - 2I =< 9 ----> -9 =< 3x - 2 =< 9

Add 2 to each of the three parts of the inequality.
-7 =< 3x =< 11

Divide by 3 in each part of the inequality.
-7/3 =< x =< 11/3

To illustrate this you would first draw a number line. Put a solid dot (to show that end points are included) at -7/3 and 11/3 and join them.

Now you should be able to do the second one in similar manner.

Edit. With the second one note that when dividing by -3 the direction of inequality is reversed. This is the case when multiplying or dividing by anything negative.
