I need to use long division to do this. I actually want to learn how to do this, I don't just want the answer. Can someone please explain step by step with long division how to do these? Thank you! Btw by ^2 I mean squared and by ^3 I mean cubed. :)
1) Divide 9x^2-16 by 3x-4
2) Divide 2x^3-3x^2-3x+6 by x-1
1) Divide 9x^2-16 by 3x-4
2) Divide 2x^3-3x^2-3x+6 by x-1

1)
(9x^2-16)/(3x-4)
(3x+4)(3x-4)/(3x-4)
3x+4
2)
This problem does not divide evenly. The best you can do is do basic division and leave it at that.
( 2x^3-3x^2-3x+6)/(x-1) = 2x^2 -x -4 + 2/(x-1)
1)
(9x^2-16)/(3x-4)
(3x+4)(3x-4)/(3x-4)
3x+4
