b = 4a − 17 − 2b

4a = 3b+17
a= (3/4)b + (17/4)
or
a = (3b+17)/4

3b = 4a - 17
3b + 17 = 4a
3/4 b + 17/4 = a

b = 4a − 17 − 2b
-4a -4a

b - 4a = -17 − 2b
-b -b

-4a = -17 − 3b
/ -4 / -4


a = -17 − 3b
