and the 3 is under the 2 (x+5)

3(x - 5)/2 = 2(x + 5)/3

A bit easier to understand. Let's multiply the left side by 3/3 and the right by 2/2 to get both over 6.

9(x - 5)/6 = 4(x + 5)/6
9(x - 5) = 4(x + 5)
9x - 45 = 4x + 20
5x = 65
x = 13

Let's check that

3(13 - 5)/2 = 2(13 + 5)/3
3 * 8 / 2 = 2 * 18 / 3
24/2 = 36/3
12 = 12

So 13 is correct.

3x - 15 = 2x + 10 ( I hope this is what you meant)
