If 3x+3=6(y+2), then x-2y=

Can you please explain how you got to the answer too? thank you!!

-
3x + 3 = 6(y + 2)
3x + 3 = 6y + 12
3x - 6y = 9
x - 2y = 3

-
3x+3=6(y+2)

x + 1 = 2 (y+2)

x = 2y + 4 - 1

x = 2y + 3

2y = x - 3

so x - 2y = ( 2y + 3) - (x - 3) = 2y - x + 6

-
3x+3=6(y+2)
(1/2x)+(1/2)=y+2
(1/2x)-(3/2)=y

x-2y=0
x=2y
(x/2)=y

-
3x + 3 = 6(y + 2)
3x + 3 = 6y + 12
3x - 6y = 12 -3
3x - 6y = 9
3(x - 2y) = 9
x - 2y = 3

-
3x + 3 = 6(y + 2)

3x + 3 = 6y + 12

3x = 6y + 9

x = 2y + 3

x - 2y = 3
