So today all of 8th grade just got our recommendations for High School and for Algebra i have to take it for 2 years instead of 1 will that affect anything? Like to get into a good collage?

The dismal results, released yesterday, are the latest part of the Third International Mathematics & Science Study (TIMSS).
U.S. educators said the study points out the critical need for stronger graduation standards and much improved teacher education.

College algebra is considered a remedial class. Many college students take the class 3 or 4 times before they pass it. Think of college algebra as two years of high school math in 15 weeks. If you want to get into and stay in a good college, you should take a math class each year you are in high school and pass them with a better than average grade.
