How to rewrite the expression as a single logarithm: log 5 + log 20=

When you add logs you multiply the numbers after the logs so:

log5 + log 20 = log 100

Similarly when you subtract logs you divide the numbers after the logs.

log(a) + log(b) = log(ab)

so the answer is log(5x20) = log(100) :)
