3x - 4 = 5 AND 4 + 2x = 7 --- Please help

I have to solve the equations and check my solutions....Could you please help...and please show me how you did it so i can try do the other 8. Thank you

3x - 4=5
Step 1(inverse)
3x-4+4=5+4
Add 4 on both sides
3x=9
step 2
Divide 3 on both side
3x/3=9/3
x= 3



(+)4+2x=7 >> (+)4-4+2x=7-4 >> 2x=3 >> 2x/2= 3/2 >> x = 1.5
