How can we prove that the earth is or isn't flat?

All surveyors know that if you observe a large triangle on the surface of the Earth it has internal angles greater than 180 degrees.

But should he climb a mountain he may gather it makes a contour in the horizon that is not infinitely distant nor hidden in an infinite haze.
And if he went up further on a balloon it would become more obvious. It is there for anyone to see if he has the technology.
It is in a agreement with established scientific models of how physics works.

I will explain time zones> There are 24 main time zones around the world.
You live in New York City and have a very close friend you trust in Honolulu Hawaii.
At the exact moment you see the sun rise you call your friend in Hawaii and ask him if he sees the Sun Rise. You stat on the phone with him until he does. You will be waiting several hours.
If the world was Flat the Sun rise in NYC and Honolulu would be at the same time.

THIS IS the key thing
If the earth was flat it would just continue to get smaller and smaller until you couldnt see it any more
BUT IT DONT
the bottom of it starts to disappear while you can still see the top of it
more of the bottom of it disappears until you cant see the top at all
this PROVES it CANT be flat
And the rate at which it diappears proves 2 things- It MUST be round - and if you know 4 things
1) how fast the chip is going
2) how high you are above sea level
3) how long it took to disappear
4) how high the ships is above sea level
you can calculate how round the earth is
