answers:
Juih say: Little is known of his early life, but he worked as a seaman and then a maritime entrepreneur. ... route to Cathay (China), India, and the gold and spice islands of Asia.

Who say: AS already said- he wouldnt
just think about - Europe -> americas - say 3000 miles
across americas - say 1500 miles ( from where he landed)
across pacified -? - say 8000 miles (till he hits land
total - 12500 miles
It took him 5 weeks to cross to the emericas (3000 miles) = 3.6 mph
so lets assume he continued the remaining 9500miles at 5mph
that would have taken 79 days
sailing the total distance = 35+79 = 114 days = 15 weeks with no fresh water or food
(and hes STILL got say 1500 miles sailing to get to India (even if he knew the route)
that would probably have taken a lot longer- cos he dont know which direction to go
Remember - it was easy to get from europe to the americas cos you just sail west and you got to hit it someplace-
but landing on that big lump of asia which direction do you go to get around it to get to india?)

Pearl L say: probably a long tirne

They Pelted Us With Rocks And Garbage say: He wouldn't have.
A sailing ship isn't just a magic boat with endless supplies.
-
Annie say: If Columbus didn't exist there would be less pollution and 100 million Native Americans would not have been raped and murdered.
-
Squidmaster say: Colombus sailed on the Samta Maria, which was a "Carrack" style ship.
The average speed of a Carrack was about 130km per day.
The distance between Spain and India then, going over the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, would be 32,075km.
Meaning a 247 day journey.
-
Norman say: He would never have made it that far.
