To get an electric shock in a common wall socket https://encrypted-tbn3.google.com/images… does one need to touch both holes with metals, or just one? I've heard that just one can cause a shock... I've also heard that if you test the two hole with an ac tester, then in one the tester will light up and in the other it won't...

A socket with 2 holes has no earth and probably used for shavers and unearthed appliances.One hole is active and one neutral so a tester will only light up in the active hole.Whether you get a shock just touching metal in one hole depends on the electrical system set up. If the neutral is earthed in the switchboard, an MEN system,touching one hole and standing bare foot on a cement floor will be the same effect as touching 2 holes and could easily be fatal.A 3 hole socket has an earth terminal.
