I will be admitted to the indian institute of the technology bombay for computer science and engineering this year.i am planning on buying a laptop with price range below 70k.and the macbook pro just meets my budget.can anyone suggest which might be better suited for engineering purposes??mac or windows laptop??all answers will be rewarded!!plzzz help

from my personal experience i am sure that you should go for any laptop without windows on it,
because labs in IIT bombay and other IITs mostly use linux operating system.
So investing money on windows is a waste of money.
Mac is also unix based so you can go for it.
but i'll suggest don't pay for any operating system.
just go with open source linux system like Fedora and Ubuntu.
because after 4 years when you complete your b-tech,
trust me you won't be using mac or windows.
you will definetly be with LINUX.
