Is the TI89 Titanium Calculator a good calculator (even for general use)? Is it worth buying over the other TI Models (83/84)?

If you need to do calculus, yes, the TI-89 is better, it can do symbolic integration/differentiation, the 83/84 can only do numeric.
The statistics functions on the 89 are also a little more intuitive, though I'm not sure if there are any additional features.

Unless you are doing ADVANCED calculations and getting all crazy with Calculus and such, an 83 is fine. It will do algebra, trigonometry, and all the other basic functions.
