We know that Neanderthals existed. But how do they fall into the biblical timeline?
The Neanderthals lived in Europe from 400,000 to 37,000 years ago.

answers:
say: They don't, and they can't. The bible writers knew nothing about the Neanderthals. They knew nothing about ANY creature that had already come and gone. That's why they concocted the story that every creature was created at the same time. I'm sorry, but the fossil record makes mincemeat out of the ridiculous story of biblical creation.

frank lynn say: Let's say they were pre-biblical timeline.
-
say: First of all I doubt the date given! It is based on a lot of assumptions which are known to be wrong.
Secondly they would have been pre-fall of mankind.
Thirdly the appears to be no link between the other human types.
Fourth the question is were they sapient or not. If they were not sapient then they were missing the one primary trait humans have which makes them different from other animals.

MARK say: They do not. Fiction does not fit in with fact. Neanderthals were a species of human (Homo neanderthalensis) that is now extinct. The Bible is an anthology of works of fiction. The first part, the Old Testament, is claimed as 'sacred scripture' by Christians and Jews. Christians also class its New Testment as 'sacred scripture'. There can be nothing about H. neanderthalensis is the Bible because the authors of its books had no knowledge of them.

Morningfox say: How come nobody asks about how they fall into the Rmayana or Mahabharata timeline?

God's Messenger say: Gen 1:1
In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.
KJV
Gen 1:12
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
KJV
Indeed we are made in God's image. Very few know that God, praise be He, made a number of attempts to create mankind and other living things and as Go make a witness of Jesus said, " a day to God is as a thousand years to mankind."

Stella say: So Chris gave you your answer.
The biblical timeline started fairly recently and ignores anything preceding it.

Jea say: They deal with all inconvenient facts by denial. As you see, the more foolish among them deny Neanderthal's very existence, in spite of overwhelming evidence. Yet they claim Jesus was without a speck of contemporary evidence. They seem to think that if evidence exists for something, it proves that something wasn't. Things with no evidence at all are written "in stone".
Christians are nothing if not confused.
Say no to drugs and gods. Stay real. Stay sharp.

Chris say: "Neanderthals" never existed. The world is about 6000 years old.
Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you're going to heaven and never hell. That easy. :)
..
The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death

say: They drowned in the Flood.
-
say: They weren't quite humans so who cares? Flesh is just flesh. It was obviously some time before the spirit of man was breathed into Adam. Sadly, some of His descendants turned into atheists. They might have been better off as Neanderthals. Theirs to find out.
Did I say atheists are worse than Neanderthals by mistake?
Oops.
I ought to be very scared now, methinks?

Prof Hugh Peabody PhD say: Sorry, but as a creation scientist I must correct you. Neanderthals lived around 4,500 years ago. They quickly assimilated and became parking officers and TV panel debaters.
-
Jack say: They did not exist 40,000 years ago. The brow ridge grows throughout life, so these Neanderthals are just what you’d expect a person to look like who lives hundreds of years old, as they did a few thousand years ago. Their skulls are elongated (occipital bun) from the neck muscles pulling on thee skull their entire life.

Peter say: ....'the Neanderthals lived in Europe from 400,000 to 37,000 years ago'. Could you point us to some evidence to support that?
-
Misty say: They don't, the ancient goat herders that wrote the bible didn't know about them so they couldn't add them to the fairy tale.
-
Gomakawitnessofjesus say: I disagree, people tell us that neanderthals existed but they don't prove it, to be our ancestors . There is a difference ! The bible is true, Genesis says God and Christ created man, and the earth , and the time line for creation of man and the earth is between 6k and 14k years ago
Another possible fact is that God and man inhabited this earth for a long time until Adam ate the forbidden fruit remembering a day with the Lord is a thousand years to man

WwwdotBibleSelectordotcom say: Only Young Earth Creationists see a "Biblical timeline" that is relevant to that matter.
The rest of us accept the scientific estimates regarding when and where Neanderthals existed.
