Christians, why isn't it obvious to you that science and technology is slowly but surely stripping any credibility Christendom use to have?

-------------------------------------------------------

answers:
Steven S say: It is only obvious to those that don’t believe. If it weren’t for God there would be no science or technology.
-
wayne say: Because it's not true. They still don't know why or how the first DNA formed.
-
Samwise say: It's not obvious to me, for the same reason it wasn't obvious to Darwin:

I see no good reason why the views given in this volume should shock the religious feelings of any one. It is satisfactory, as showing how transient such impressions are, to remember that the greatest discovery ever made by man, namely, the law of the attraction of gravity, was also attacked by Leibnitz, “as subversive of natural, and inferentially of revealed, religion.” A celebrated author and divine has written to me that “he has gradually learnt to see that it is just as noble a conception of the Deity to believe that He created a few original forms capable of self-development into other and needful forms, as to believe that He required a fresh act of creation to supply the voids caused by the action of His laws.”
-- Charles Darwin, "The Origin of Species"; sixth edition (1872)

[I have been pointing out this particular passage to people for over half a century. Maybe people who claim to know something about "science and technology" ought to do their homework--as I just advised some creationist in my previous answer.]

Christian sinner say: Not for me. Which field of Science?

You don't even know, right? You can lie in a second, but the truth comes out after a while. So, either you have a source, or you are lying.
-
Robert De Angelis-Italy-United States say: We have evidence that the majority of real science believes in God, because of its creation! Because it is illogical to believe that all the things that are in this world have come out to the event. The minority of science is atheism, as you!?
-
Jerrime say: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
-
Fireball say: WRONG assumptions...JESUS REMAINS REAL WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT...U WILL FIND OUT WHEN JUDGMENT COMES OR EVEN WHEN U SEE RAPTURE happening...consider praying..IT IS CALLED CHRISTIANITY...SEE SPELLING

-
say: The belief in religion is strong. Everyone likes fairy tales.
-
yesmar say: Personally, I don't care about Christendom, it needs to reform. I just follow Jesus, and we're doing just fine.
-
William say: I don't believe that science or technology have ever degraded the credablity of most religions. Religion and science aren't usually related at all, but for a small extremist minority on both sides, it's an issue.
-
Nous say: The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world!

Research shows whilst education reduces religious belief each year of further education reduces religious belief by up to 10%!
-
Daisy say: Each to their own big boy... take another look at your rant... How many Christians did you convince that your book is bigger and better than ours? And if you believe the Bible is the only book ticking you off, you should take a peak at the other books of scripture.

There’s no need to worry if there seems to be a conflict between your understanding of the gospel and what you learn through science. Of course, when we talk about how science contributes to the truths we know, we’ve got to be sure we understand what kind of truth science can uncover—and what kind it can’t. One way to look at it is to ask what kinds of questions science can and can’t answer.

Sister Ellen Mangrum, who studied chemical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, USA, explains it this way: “Science explains the how. But it stops short of explaining the why.” She adds that religion is what explains the why, such as why the earth was created and why we were put here.

The famous physicist Albert Einstein also believed that religion and science have different, complementary purposes.

“Science can only ascertain what is, but not what should be,” he wrote. “Outside of [science’s] domain value judgments of all kinds remain necessary.”

Te Rex say: TRUE science & technology have/will never strip any credibility from Christianity -

It appears to me that you Blueface islamic terrorist trolls all have the agenda to eliminate Christianity
-
Logan say: Science has neither proven nor disproven God.

If God does not exist, there is 100 percent likelihood of humans going extinct before we get anywhere closer to the discovery of the origin of Universe.
-
✞ 2 ...hunter say: Why is it?
-
Jonathn say: If that's true, why are there many major Christian based universities and hospitals worldwide teaching and using science and technology?
-
Punkin eater say: Actually it's not that different now, people who believed back then we're almost just as deluded to have thought flying people were real.
-
WwwdotBibleSelectordotcom say: Because that is not obvious.

It's like asking why it isn't obvious that the Sun is pink with purple polka-dots.
-
Kieth say: Alpha and omega, everything else is vanity.
