Neil Degrasse Tyson! Hes an astrophysicist and a pretty cool guy. I once saw a documentary on Julian Pearcy (I think on PBS) he was a chemist who had some major discoveries, but few universities would hire him (and none treated him well), and ended working for a chemical company
