(The density of gold is 19.32 g/cm3.)-1.) First convert square feet into square centimeters.1 Square Foot = 929.2.......
To the alchemists, gold was the material representation of purity. It is a very soft metal that can be hammered into extremely thin sheets. If a 1.47 g piece of gold is hammered into a sheet whose area is 40 ft^2, what is the average thickness of the sheet in centimeters? (The density of gold is 19.32 g/cm3.)

1.) First convert square feet into square centimeters.

1 Square Foot = 929.0304 Square Centimeters

2.) Divide 1.47 g by 19.32 g/cm3 to find out the total volume of the gold.

3.) Take the volume of the gold divided by the area to get the thickness because Volume / Area = Height (or thickness).

Good luck!
