If you had the option to sit in a fairly difficult curved class, statistically, would you want to have a class sized of 200 or 300?

Depends on how good you are. The larger class will have less variation on the curve.
If you don't score well, that low score will be at a consistent point on the curve in a large class. In a smaller class it will have more variation (either up or down). So you might prefer a small class if you would otherwise have a poor grade, or a large class to "lock-in" what is expected to be a good grade.
