How would you make 100ml of 1 Molar NaOH from solid NaOH

25M * 0.V2 = 0.025L = 25mL (So yes, you couldve just used a 1:4 ratio.......
I don't really understand how to do this. Also:

How would you make 100ml of 0.25M NaOH from a 1M stock solution. Would you just make a 1:4 dilution?

Please explain, thank you :)

1M = xmol/0.100L = 0.100mol

0.100mol*(39.99g NaOH / 1mol) = 3.999g NaOH are needed.

We would use the molarity formula (M1*V1=M2*V2) to solve the second part .

0.25M * 0.100L = 1M * V2
V2 = 0.025L = 25mL (So yes, you could've just used a 1:4 ratio.)
