It doesn't make sense to me... the following:
At equilibrium, the sum of the chemical potentials of the reactants, each weighted according to the stoichiometry of the reaction, is equal to the sum of the chemical potentials of the products similarly weighted.
So dG=0
dG= sum of dG/dn (products) = sum of dG/dn (reactants)
Is that right?

Hess' Law says the sum of the heats of formation of the PRODUCTS, weighted according to the stoichiometry of the reactions MINUS the sum of the heats of formation of the reactants similarily weighted will give youthe Heat of Reaction of the equation.
