5.5 x 10^-4 mol( 60.05196 g/mol)=.033362g=33.......
Explain how much of concentrated acetic acid do you need to prepare 1000 mL of the solution with a pH of 4 (Ka=1.8x10^-5)

Any help would be great.Thanks(:

60.05196 g/mol

add .033362 g to 1000 mL of H2O.

Ka=[H+][A-]/[HA]

[H+]=1 x 10^-4

1.8 x 10^-5=(1 x 10^-4)^2/[HA]

[HA]=5.5 x 10^-4 M

5.5 x 10^-4 mol( 60.05196 g/mol)=.033362g=33.62mg
