POPCORN NUTRITION FACTS!

more or less kernels will pop. If you are watching calories put it in a bowl that you know the volume of, and go by that, not the volume on the bag.I would suggest you send a letter to the company and let them know that they have a major error on the packaging, and who knows,......
Im getting really confused reading the popcorn nutrition facts label. It says that 1 cup popped is 25 calories and there are 6 cups in a serving and there are 2.5 servings in a whole bag. I measured how many cups were in a whole bag and got only 6 cups. According the nutrition info it has 15 cups in the whole bag. CAN SOMEONE HELP Me!?

Well, I can see why you're confused! Whoever wrote that was drinking too much beer while they were eating their popcorn!

The bottom line is that if one cup is 25 calories, really, it doesn't matter how many cups you get from the bag, each cup is going to be 25 calories.

Depending on how long it's been sitting on the shelf and your microwave's power and settings, more or less kernels will pop. If you are watching calories put it in a bowl that you know the volume of, and go by that, not the volume on the bag.

I would suggest you send a letter to the company and let them know that they have a major error on the packaging, and who knows, maybe they will send you a free case or two!

Good pick-up, by the way, and I'm delighted to see someone actually reading nutrition information.

The information on my box of Orville Redenbacher's says 15 servings per CARTON. The measurement you get from an individual bag will vary greatly, due to amount of kernels in the bag and the amount that actually pop. I can't get the amounts to reconcile, either. There's a "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the following link; maybe they can tell us!
