does it have to be further converted to glucose?Thanks!-Insulin will increase glucose metabolism, by making glycogen and also by converting glucose to simpler products like pyruvate for energy production. So, insulin will convert glycogen to glucose to glucose 1 phosphate to energy ATP.......
If it is to glucose-1-phosphate, otherwise known as 1-phosphoglucose, does it have to be further converted to glucose?

Thanks!
