And yes they are my biological parents! I'm a split image of my dad :-)
Anyways, my dads blood type is A and my mom is B and I'm O! How's that possible? Did I get it from a grandparent? I'm just curious :-)

Georgina is close but not quite accurate. Your father must be Aa, your mother must be Bb. The 4 POSSIBLE combinations are AB(blood type AB, meaning your blood cells have both A and B antigens and no anti-A/anti-B antibodies) , Ab (blood type A, meaning your blood cells have A antigens and anti-B antibodies), aB (blood type B, meaning your blood cells have B antigens and anti-A antibodies), and ab (Blood type O, your blood cells have no antigens but your blood has both anti-A and anti-B antibodies). You have an even chance of all 4, but just happened to get blood type O.
Blood type O is awesome cause it means your blood can be received by ANYONE... however it kinda sucks cause your blood plasma has antibodies which fight any blood type EXCEPT O.
Just some fascinating info on blood, hope I helped!

Well, all genes come in pairs and some genes are recessive and only give a characteristic when both genes are the same. In your instance your dads gene pair for blood type would be AO making him blood type A as it is not a recessive gene and you moms pair OB. For an O blood type both genes need to be O so when your parents had you, you got half of your dads genes and half of your moms genes giving a 1/4 chance you would have blood type O and a 3/4 chance of blood type AB. This is what i've been taught anyway hope it helps :).

This is what i know.
Child inheriting an A blood type from the mother and a B blood type from the father will most likely have an AB blood type. Only two recessive O blood type genes from both parents will result in a child having an O blood type.

Blood carries no DNA.
You don't inherit your blood type
