-Dogs also eat loaf or bread of wheat. When i was 7 or 8 years old, a dog daily came in front of my home and my uncle gave him a loaf. It is really an interesting question. i also want the answer.-They ARENT!......
Has the way we've domesticated them changed their diet?

Domesticated dogs are still carnivores. As far as I know every (or most) dog food contains meat of some kind.

However, a dog could survive without meat if it's diet contained the correct nutrients.

Domesticated dogs don't have a choice what they eat. They are fed by humans. That's the only reason they eat food containing vegetable ingredients. If given the choice they would eat meat exclusively.
