Do the findings of Louis Pasteur ("life cannot come from non-life") still hold water in science!

Darwin dealt with *evolution*, not with the origins of life. As you describe, he *speculated* on the origins of life with his warm little pond comment .........

No experiments with flasks of meat broth could disprove that. I mention this because a lot of dishonest (or just ignorant) creationists, try to make that claim that the concept of abiogenesis ... the origins of life on earth from organic molecules ... was ruled out by Pasteur's experiments. This is just rubbish.

Darwin dealt with *evolution*, not with the origins of life. As you describe, he *speculated* on the origins of life with his "warm little pond" comment ... but it was NOT a topic he studied with any detail.

So nothing Darwin said has any bearing on Pasteur, or vice versa.

It was a few years ago, but I remember watching a documentary in which scientists had essentially recreated the environment of early earth. It was a tank comprised of the same few elements which first existed on earth, and electricity was blasted through it to simulate the electrical storms which are believed to have been present. The found that proteins did in fact form, and protein is really all that is needed to grow into more complex life.

obviously not because we have basically disproved god. The most current theory is that the primordial ooze somehow formed the first self replicating molecule. How? no one knows and we are a long ways away from finding the answer.

Spontaneous generation is humanly impossible, interesting thought to ponder though

Pasteur's experiment proved that bacteria an fungi don't appear spontaneously in decaying matter.
Did Darwin take into account other branches of science, some say no.

If there is a jar of air molecules, are all the nitrogen molecules going to concentrate themselves in one corner of the gas jar? No! This is what is an example of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Entropy (or disorder increases) in a system

Cells contain complexly folded proteins that create and transfer energy around the cell? How can organic cells be built from inorganic matter? Do elemental atoms have some property, or inherent blueprint, or stored data, that causes them to form organic matter and then complex protein molecules? How would such information be stored in an atom?
