Hi! I am really confused by the answer given for this question
The phenotypic ratio of a cross between organisms that are heterozygous for a single trait is
Choices
1) 1:1
2) 2:1
3) 1:2:1
4) 2:1:2
Now remember . Phenotype ratio.
So when you cross gametes say for black and white.
Bb * Bb
You get 4 products
BB-Bb-Bb-bb
Isn't the ratio 3:1 . I don't why the answer given is c. Please help me understand this simple question. Thankyou!

The answer will be C. if the question asks about the genotypic ratio of normal dominant alleles.
But the question says, simple cross between Aa and Aa, which gives 3 : 1. And you are absolutely right on this answer.
But in case, the question is from incomplete dominance, then the phenotypic ratio of the offsprings will be 1 : 2: 1 as you must be knowing.
So, you should check if the question is of normal dominance or incomplete dominance.
Hope this helps !!
