When will the next Einstein emerge

the status quo, etc. because he sniffed out the disorder. He respected the order, but knew variables were missed, ideas were not refined enough.......
I can no longer take seriously the Nobel Prize people. They are awarding this award to some seriously underachieving (relative to Einstein) scientists.

Einstein was a wolf, a conqueror of accepted ideas. He challenged the orthodoxy, the hierarchy, the status quo, etc. because he sniffed out the disorder. He respected the order, but knew variables were missed, ideas were not refined enough.

I don't see this today. I don't see a wolf howling into the darkness and perhaps at the moon.

When will the next great Wolf align everything and revolutionize science?

When will the next great Wolf align everything and revolutionize science?

Which science? Geology? It would certainly be revolutionary to be able to predict earthquakes reliably and consistently over a broad range of conditions, no doubt about that.

But scientists don't go about their business to become the next idolized achiever. So if it's not going according to your personal expectation, then I'm sorry; you're quite welcome to contribute like everyone else did. A few of the major discoveries in science are serendipitous and don't quite have to do with being exceptionally intelligent. If you want to talk about revolutions in science, then how about liquid cristals -- which chemists at the time thought was nonsense? Or what about quantum electrodynamics? Or the systematization of Information Theory?

If you're looking for other examples of how you can revolutionlize a small part of science, look into dark matter and dark energy for example. If you remember from past history of Physics, William Tompson (better known as Lord Kelvin) declared in the late 19th century that only two "tiny clouds" remained to be dissipated in Physics: the negative result of the Michelson-Morley experiment and the ultraviolet catastrophe. One of the clouds dissipated to reveal quantum mechanics, and the other cloud dissipated to reveal special relativity. You're quite welcome to learn what people know from college and contribute to dissipate the clouds of dark matter and dark energy; and that's just one example in one branch of science, Astrophysics.
