It can hardly be described as air. The Moon does have a sort of atmosphere, but it's density is less than one hundred trillionth of that of the Earth's sea level density. It is probably caused mostly by out-gassing from the regolith, produced by radioactivity.

It's a fact, there isn't air or oxygen on the moon. Which is why living organisms cannot survive there.
