earth was 50\50

No because I have a lot of friends and relatives here on Earth that I want to be with

You will spend roughly 7 months going to Mars, 6 months on Mars waiting for the window to return to Earth and then 7 months on the return trip. You'll be in low or zero gravity for 20 months, and subjected to radiation from solar storms, and cosmic rays during the trip. Add to that the very real possibility that something may go wrong with the equipment which may mean the you are stranded on Mars or even worse.

Yes i would because if i died, i would die happy knowing that i was one of the first humans to see it with my own eyes. If i would get to go, that would be a crying (of hapiness) experience. That would be the awesomest thing that happens to me. That would also make me so proud of the human race!

Basically anyone being sent to Mars by NASA is going to not only get it for free, they are going to be paid. You'd be surprised how many astronauts would kill to go on that trip regardless of a supposed 50/50 chance in this scenario.

No
50-50? Why on earth would I risk my life for free? If I am going to be a little test subject for NASA I would like to be paid for my services.
