Do you think air travel would be much faster in the future

Air travel is largely at its limit. Not because of technology, but because of regulations. For some strange reason many world governments won't permit commercial air travel above supersonic speeds (the Concord, which is now banned from air travel) for "noise reasons" even though it is technically much safer than conventional aircraft.

Same story with altitude limits, though that is much more understandable why they would create limits for that.

TSA slows it down. Although I heard they wanted to let the older folks just shuffle through. Of course you will still have to get to the airport 3 hours before your flight. It may be faster once in the plane but getting into the plane will still be a nightmare.

space is pretty much been conquered, underwater is much faster.

Hopefully there will be teleporters, and hopefully they won't just kill you and make a clone.
