Even if it does explode, it will be so far in the future it wont worry us anyway.
We'll be gone by then.

our sun isn't likely to go nova, what it will do in a few billion years is become a red giant, expanding just to about where Earth is now. Then it'll die out and become a red dwarf with it's surface becoming cooler and cooler until it's just a hunk of iron.
If humans make it to then we'll have to build a space station that very nearly orbits the dying star.

Chances are slim as this star will only recede [decline] into a small star when it reaches its extreme [maximum]. Therefore, it won't explode with the current size to age ratio so small.
-
Never, the Sun will become a red giant in about 5 billion years. The Sun is not massive enough to supernova.
-
It's not.
It's too small to supernova and explode. It will most likely just become a white dwarf and fizzle out

Never. It will run out of Hydrogen and expand into a red giant. 5 Billion more years to go.
