If you were living on the moon, what kinds of eclipses would you might expect to see? (10 POINTS!)

helpp! there is suppose to be 2 kinds of eclipses.

Eclipses involve three bodies, the Earth, the Sun, and the Moon. The Moon can get between the Earth and the Sun, which would be a solar eclipse as viewed from Earth, but someone on the Moon would see the Moon's shadow on the Earth. I guess that might be a "Terran Eclipse"?

Or, the Earth can get between the Sun and the Moon. That's a Lunar Eclipse as viewed from the Earth, but someone on the Moon would see the Earth blocking the Sun, which would be a Solar Eclipse.

Edit (for broutcha): You do realize that the moon doesn't have a dark side, right? It has a far side.

1) Everytime there is a partial lunar eclipse visible from Earth, then there is a partial solar eclipse visible from the Moon. Ditto for total eclipses.
2) There can only be very partial "Eclipse" of Earth, visible from the Moon, when a small part of the Earth is shadowed by the Moon: this happens when there is a Solar eclipse visible from Earth.


Note that if you live on the dark side of the moon, you'll never see any eclipse, because you never see Earth.

u wil see something like solar eclipse... i.e when moon goes behind the earth the sun will be unseen, not even like a ring i suppose. Another eclipse is... i think appearance of the sun for maximum time... i.e when moon gets infront of the sun
