The universe wasn't "created".
I've just finished updating an article that explains the details regarding the origin of the universe, if you're interested (there is no "who" nor "created" involved):

Why must it be a "who"?
Perhaps it was a "what".
Alexis would say it was a "not" (as in It was not created).

Anyway, we do have a problem. If there is a "who" that created the universe, then we must ask about creation of the "who". This is the same problem that arises when someone says that god created the universe. We are left with the question of how god came into being.
