Maybe something like Battle Los Angeles will happen. Their civilization probably has some guys on ships exploring the universe, and see the earth as a fuel station, and they may stop by to resupply their tanks or whatever to keep on going on their journey. In the movie they couldn't be detected. What if they are just beyond saturn and we can't detect them? They may be on there way here undetected and we wouldn't even know until they are visibly seen due to the reactions with the atmosphere as they get into earth.

It'll be like the 1954 Dorothy Martin incident all over again. People just have short memories and a lot of gullibility.

I remember when some folks thought that an extraterrestrial spacecraft was coming in the tail of Comet Hale-Bopp. Some folks were so sure they even committed suicide over it. Oops.

Maybe from new space crafts that do not make it into space.I do not think aliens would want to come here our sky and planet is filled with radiation and pollution.
