What about 2012 that will be the end of our world

should we really be aware with maya's people ancient prediction?

I guess it’s up to you to really decide how much you want to read into it. One thing’s for sure; there’s allot of bullshit and conspiracy theories out there about 2012. However I think that the date will be one of great significance to us. Allot of people just think that they predicted Armageddon, however I don’t really think it’s so straight forward. What we do know is that their calendar ended on a date in 2012. it’s been said that the two predictions, or I guess theories is of either end of the world OR a year of human enlightenment. And I think this seems to be an interesting idea to explore. In the past, humans have been known to experience a sort of enlightenment in events that are life changing. so maybe the Mayans’ calendar simply ended, as it will be a time were humans simply change their ways, a time where we as a race, reach another age; an age that the Mayans had no predictions.

I don’t know. I guess all of it is superstition right, but I thought I might add my 2 cents worth:)

There is no Mayan prediction.

All that happens in 2012 is that the Mayan calendar ends. And just like any other calendar it starts again from the beginning (in the Mayan case, for another 60,000 years).

The only other thing that will end in 2012 are all these endless idiotic questions about 2012 and "The End of the World" (tm) by people who seem incapable of looking up the answers to the over 10,000 questions already asked on this subject.

Lets suppose the world really is going to end in 2012.

Would being aware of that prevent it? Or would we just have a clearer view of the gun that is going to destroy our world? I for one, would rather not know when the world is going to end is there was not even anything I could do to prevent it.

Many people have tried and will continue trying to derive the date of the end of the world. However, the plain and simple truth is that no one can really know for sure.
