Are apes really similar to humans?

Fred say: My understanding their genes are very close to ours. It is obvious man evolved from a species of ape and apparently around 250,000 years ago they were closer to man than ape.
I have met a few humans that I feel the Ape would have been smarter.

Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death.

Are people truly similar? same argument, but with the similarities being even greater. My siblings are way more similar to me than you likely are. Doesn't mean you aren't basically similar to me.
