Is it morbid that my daughter wanted to take a picture of a dead animal?
My daughter is going to be 7 in January and my significant other and I saw this dead animal on the side of the road and we thought It looked like a wolf so we pulled over just to see if it was. JimZ say: I am an amateur nature photographer and there may be a good picture in a morbid scene as well. I took picture of a dead loon about a month ago. It was a mated pair and about a week later I took a picture of the surviving animal. For me, it was very emotional seeing that lone loon and for me it is the most emotionally impacting photo I have. I don't think it is necessarily morbid. It isn't like she was making something up. Maybe she merely wanted to document what was real.
Here it is but it will have less impact without seeing the surviving animal.
