I just saw a little chipmunk creature run past my feet. It looked the size of a chipmunk but had more little blackish/ brown dots on its back rather than stripes. Can anyone tell me what it might be?

It is just a chipmunk they can be stripped or dotted stripped ones are just more common

Chipmunks look like chipmunks... It could have been a squirrel
