Pangolins roll up for defense but are able to give little pushes to move (they can also walk bipedally).
The Mantis Shrimp rolls and flicks itself back to deeper water.
The Salamander (Hydromantes platycephalus) coils so well when disturbed it will roll downhill if dropped by a predator.
Caterpillars recoil and roll to avoid predators by releasing their claspers and wrenching the body around its long axis, like a log rolling downhill.
Isopods or the sowbugs, pillbugs, & the millipede that just looks like a pillbug, roll.
The Sowbug (Porcellio spp) can’t fully roll into a ball it only manages a close u-shape.
The millipede 'pillbug' (Glomeris marginata) also roll into a ball like true isopods.
The Pill Bug (Armadillidium spp) is an isopod that tightly rolls.
