Yellow stuff on a grasshopper

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-09-21] [Hit: ]
I frequently catch flower flies (syrphids) which have a crust of pollen on them. Grasshoppers frequently eat flowers as the nectar provides energy and the pollen gives them protein.......
I was outside today and saw two grasshoppers looking like they are humping. One had yellow looking stuff on its body. What was it? It looked almost crust maybe?
