There is no reason for you to be concerned for your safety. I can almost guarantee that your spider could not harm you. And just so you know, there are no Hobo Spiders in New Jersey. Hobo Spiders are only found in the Northwestern part of the US.
Your picture is dark and blurry and too far away, which makes it pretty much impossible to identify the spider. But I can tell from its shape that it is not a black widow. I have a lot of experience with Black Widows, and their shape is very different. There are no Brown Recluse in NJ either. Since Black Widows, Recluse and Hobo's are the ONLY spiders of any concern in the US, there is really nothing to be concerned about.
Try not to worry about it. It's just a little spider minding her business, trying to stay away from you just like you want to stay away from her.

Just to add; doctors often misdiagnose MSRA or other dermatological conditions as "loxoscelism", a.k.a. a recluse bite, in areas where the spider has not been found and there is no actual spider directly associated with the bite.

Its too late, it probably crawled into your ear while you were asleep and laid eggs, its only a matter of time before they hatch and eat your brain.

-
The truth is, spiders rarely bite humans. They only get pissed if you mess with them. And unless it's a brown recluse or a black widow you shouldn't worry too much about the bite.
