Yep, definitely an orb-weaver spider, and very much like the photo that Marla Singer refers to - but there are a lot of orb weaver spiders that have very similar patterns on the underside. If you get a picture of the other side of the spider, (the view of it's back) that is a lot more helpful. Looks like it's probably a male, but I can't quite make out the details of the pedipalps. Also, it you tell me where you live (city, state or province, etc) that can narrow it down a lot.
