Are Mountain Lions in Phoenix, Arizona

What I'm getting at is, do Mountain Lions explore neighborhoods and venture into cities?

If I jog alone in the desert beyond my neighborhood, should I fear them?

I don't fear anything like that when I have a Huge Rambo style knife on me.
