We evolved in surroundings which required intellectual capacity to survive, however all the other primates evolved in surroundings which required them to be able to eat from trees. Which they can do, so there was no need to evolve. We didn't have a ready supply of food like they did so those of us who had lesser mental capacity, that is those who were unable to grasp the skills to hunt, died from starvation, and we evolved, as a community, to have higher mental capacity because it was necessary.

Well, I am envious of an orangutan's ability to swing from branches. We just evolved in different ways. And why should any other creature evolve to our abilities? Evolution isn't directed. Species change and if the changes are favorable they survive.

its not lik they dont totally tallk and they are better than other animals in that way.this happens because of variation while the species are being evolved.
