I am 16 and live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I am afraid of Tornadoes and Storms, and I always watch out for the weather, the humidity in the air, the wind, for sirens, etc. And I watch for watches, etc. And I don't like it. I mean, if it's humid outside and I hear a noise, I get kind of scared, I just don't like it. I know it's good to be aware but this is like a phobia. When it enters Tornado season, March-August, I get all watchy. I don't like going outside when there's clouds out. What can I do? Thanks.

I used to be the same way. Basically just think. A storm can't hurt me unless it gets as bad as a tornadic cell, which is more rare than just a storm hitting you with hail. Don't worry about storms unless they have tornado warnings before your county and say that it is towards your county. Start being more or less, scared then, and listen for what they say, if they say spotted funnels or tornado on the ground. Just go into your basement or wherever you go for tornadoes.

Just enjoy life! It's wayyyy to short to be paranoid about that kind of stuff, i mean we barely have bad storms here or anything like that. especially right now, its beauuuutiful out! enjoy it :)

Talk to you're parents and try an get them to find you a spycologist... or talk to your couselor at your school.
