viy = 36.1 sin49.3 = 27.4 m/s and vx = 36.1 cos49.3 = 23.5 m/s
deltay = viy t + 1/2 g t^2 so -34 = 27.4 t -4.9t^2 solve for t (I use a TI-83 program called quad25, you MUST have one or you'll have to do it the long way) I got t = 6.64 or -1.05 s. Take the positive t = 6.64 s. Now find deltaX = vx t = 23.5 x 6.64 = 156 m.
